Pressure Gauge Accessories
Snubbers, gauge cocks, gauge savers, syphons, swivel adapters and cooling towers that protect pressure gauges from pulsation, overpressure, steam and heat — 1/4" to 1" NPT / BSP in SS 316, SS 304, Brass, Monel, Inconel and Hastelloy.
Accessories That Protect Your Pressure Gauges
A pressure gauge is a precise mechanical instrument, and most gauge failures are caused by the process rather than the gauge itself — pump pulsation that wears the movement, pressure spikes that over-stretch the Bourdon tube, live steam that softens the soft-soldered or brazed joints, and radiant heat that ruins accuracy. Kalpataru gauge accessories sit between the process tapping and the instrument to remove those causes.
The range covers pulsation snubbers, 1 way, 2 way and 3 way gauge cocks, adjustable gauge savers, Q and U type syphons, swivel adapters and fin or perforated cooling towers, all machined from certified bar stock with process and instrument connections from 1/4" to 1" NPT, BSP and other threads.

Pressure Gauge Accessory Types
Pulsation, Isolation & Overpressure
Snubber
A porous sintered or piston-type restriction that damps pump pulsation and pressure surges before they reach the gauge, giving a steady pointer and longer movement life.
- End Conn.MPT / FPT
- Thread1/8" to 1/2" NPT (Taper); BSPP / BSPT / ISO / Metric on request
- TypeHexagonal. All combinations available
- Test PressureUp to 6000 psi
- MOCSS 316, 304 / Brass / Alloy 400, 600, C276 / CS
- Model No.MOC*-SNB-INLET*-OUTLET*
Gauge Cocks – 1 Way / 2 Way
Simple lever or T-handle plug cocks to isolate a gauge from the line. The 2 way version adds a second outlet for venting or connecting a test gauge.
- Type2 Way or 3 Way. Hexagonal, all combinations available
- Thread1/8" to 1" NPT (Taper) MPT / FPT; BSPP / BSPT / ISO / Metric on request
- Test PressureUp to 450 psi
- MOCSS 316, 304 / Brass / Alloy 400, 600, C276 / CS
Gauge Cocks – 3 Way
Three-position cock that connects gauge to process, isolates it, or vents the gauge to atmosphere — allowing zero checks and safe removal without shutting the line.
Gauge Saver
Spring-loaded overpressure protector that closes automatically when line pressure rises above the set point and reopens when it falls back. Set pressure 0.3 to 400 bar.
Steam, Heat & Mounting
Syphon (Q & U Type)
Coiled (Q / pigtail) or U-shaped tube that traps condensate as a water seal, so live steam never reaches the gauge element. Used on boilers, steam headers and hot water lines.
- End Conn.MPT / FPT / SW / Plain
- Pipe SizeUp to 1/2" (Sch. 40 to Sch. XXS)
- TypeU Type, Q Type
- Thread1/4" to 1/2" NPT; BSPP / BSPT / ISO / Metric on request
- Socket Weld1/4" to 1/2" NB (up to 9000 psi)
- MOCSS 316, 304 / CS / AS
Swivel Adapter
Female swivel nut on a male stem that lets a gauge be turned to face the operator and tightened without rotating the gauge case on its thread.
- UseFixing position of a component (pressure gauge / valve) without rotating the component itself
- Male End1/8" to 1" NPT (Taper); BSPP / BSPT / ISO / Metric on request
- Female SwivelParallel threads (BSPP / ISO / Metric / NPS)

Fin Type (Cooling Tower)
Heat-dissipating extension with machined radial fins that increase surface area and cool hot process media before it reaches the gauge or transmitter.
Perforated Type (Cooling Tower)
Cooling element with a perforated outer shell that allows free air circulation around the stem — a compact heat barrier between hot process and instrument.

Features & Advantages
Longer Gauge Life
Damping pulsation and blocking steam and heat keeps Bourdon tubes and movements within their design limits, cutting gauge replacement costs.
Readable, Steady Pointer
Snubbers and gauge savers remove needle flutter and spikes, so operators read the true mean pressure.
Special Service Ready
Oxygen service cleaning, NACE compliant materials and PMI are available for critical and sour service duties.
Full Traceability
Heat numbers marked on bodies and recorded against mill certificates, with third party inspection on request.
